What is D.A.R.T.S.?

The Disabled and Aged Regional Transportation System (D.A.R.T.S.) is the non profit charitable organization that provides the Para-Transit service in Hamilton. D.A.R.T.S. is a door to door transportation service employing wheelchair accessible buses and contracted taxi services when appropriate.

D.A.R.T.S. works under contract to the Accessible Transit Services (ATS), a department of the Hamilton Street Railway (H.S.R.). ATS is responsible for the overall delivery of Para-Transit Services to the citizens of Hamilton and registration for D.A.R.T.S. must be made through ATS.

D.A.R.T.S. service is available to persons with disabilities who are unable to access regular transit service and require the assistance of a personal mobility device (wheelchair, scooter, walker). The service is also available to qualified residents of other municipalities while they are visiting the City of Hamilton.
